Madeleine McCann, Paedophiles and Assumptions
19 May 2007Paedophilia, a simple sexual and emotional attraction to young children, is often seen as the ultimate evil. This is despite the fact that, contrary to popular belief, it is not the driving force behind the majority of acts of child abuse, including child sexual abuse. It is neither an action nor a criminal offence.
Due to this common association, many members of the public and media are determined to assert that paedophiles are responsible for the abduction of Madeleine McCann. Very few people have actually stopped to consider whether this assumption has any basis in fact. Madeleine McCann was 3 years old when she was abducted, however very few paedophiles are attracted to 3 year olds, a fact which the “paedophile” ring theory blindly ignores.
The vast majority of paedophiles who actually do engage in harmful activity with children do not abduct children to abuse, rather they target childen in the family or children of family friends.
It’s extremely unlikely that she was abducted to be used for - or sold into - sexual abuse. Personally, I feel that she was probably stolen for adoption or “spare parts” (which was common in the former USSR around 10 years ago). She may have been taken by a family who wanted a child of their own, which would probably be the least damaging motive.
In reality, rather than screaming hatred and anger towards paedophiles, it’s much better to wait for the results of the investigation before blaming an unpopular demographic yet again.

This is very true.
If you have been paying any attention to this case, you’ll see that Fox “news” has issued “alerts”, on “recent developments”…
…which can be boiled down to “the creep factor” (isn’t that another Fox “news” show?)…and whether or not some guy helping out is “creepy enough” to suspect.
…Oh, and they are now calling basement crawl spaces, “hidden, underground chambers”…likely because that sounds much more spooky, than “basement crawl space”.
This story just keeps devolving.

What do you mean when you say Maddy was stolen for “spare parts”?
Given how well known Maddy is around the world, I doubt there would be high demand for that LG as a daughter.

“What do you mean when you say Maddy was stolen for “spare parts”?”
There have been cases where children have been kidnapped for the sale of their organs. I don’t have any evidence to back my claim that it’s a possibility in this case, and based on the actions of the McCann’s recently, I wouldn’t be surprised if there had simply been an accident in the apartment.
